Chad started volunteering with the Utah Pride Center in 2022 as the Utah Pride Parade Director. He comes from a career in event production and business leadership. Cats or dogs? Dogs!
Esera Mose
Volunteer & Staffing Director | he-him |
Esera started as a volunteer with the Pride Parade in 2022 and 2023. The Parade is his favorite event at Pride - no competition - because it's fun, empowering, and celebratory of the Community's passionate and diversity.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be... I would want it to be the ability to heal. Imagine being able to cure cancer by holding someone's hand, or stopping a heart attack with a hug, or maybe eliminating depression with a haircut. That would be so awesome!
Ryan Bott
Entertainment Director | he-him |
Ryan was the Utah Pride Entertainment Director in 2022 and the Entertainment Director for Road Rally in 2021
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you spend it on? If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would spend it all in traveling and food!
Mike McLeroy
Festival Logistics Director | he-him |
Mike has been attending Utah Pride since 2017 where it became an annual tradition to attend. In 2022, he wanted to volunteer more in the community, so he joined the Logistics team as a “Quad Captain”. In 2023 and 2024, he's come back as the Logistics Director.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what type of business would you start? I’d start a boutique plant store/brunch establishment. We’d sell plants, sip tea throughout the day, and maybe distill some delightful, herbaceous gin.
Shelby Stephens
Festival Food Vendor Director | she-her |
This is Shelby's first year volunteering for Utah Pride after attending the festival for almost 10 years.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what type of business would you start? If I won the lottery tomorrow, me and my wife would start a bakery and coffee shop (with adoptable cat cafe of course). And, you know, I'd keep volunteering at the Utah Pride Center.
Samuel Tew
Parade Entry Director | he-him |
This is Samuel's first time volunteering for Utah Pride! He signed up to volunteer last year but didn't show up to orientation...so he doesn't think that counts. ;)
When I was 5, I'm pretty sure I wanted to be......a paleontologist, instead I turned out to be a public administrator - almost as cool?
Karynne Aliaga
Beverage Director | she-her |
Karynne started as a Utah Pride Center volunteer in 2023 at the Queer Prom and in 2024 became a member of Utah Pride Center VolunQUEER Squad.
If we held an office talent show, I'd wow everyone... ..with my huge inventory knowledge of random movie line quotes.
Spencer Hess
Ticketing Director | she-her |
This is Spencer's third year with Utah Pride. In 2022 she was the Gates Manager, in 2023 the Grand Entrance Director and this year the Ticketing Director.
When I was 5, I'm pretty sure I wanted to be...an astronaut when I grew up. It does turn out I get car sick, sea sick and every other kind of motion sick there is.
Cheryl Sneddon
Accessibility Director | they-them |
Cheryl has worked Utah Pride Center for 4 years. The first couple of years they assisted with vendors and the last two year they have been the Accessibility Director (a task they LOVE).
The best piece of advice I've ever been given: If you get into sh*t, figure out how to get youself out.
