Chad Call
Pride Director | he-him |
Chad started volunteering with the Utah Pride Center in 2022 as the Utah Pride Parade Director. He comes from a career in event production and business leadership. Chad says that the most inspiring thing about his job is seeing community members step up, and carry on critical and important work for our marginalized community to continue to have a safe space. Chad believes that Pride is about moving forward, and overcoming setbacks.

Jackson Carter
Parade Director | he-him |
Jackson is the Utah Pride Center's longest-serving employee, currently working as the Director of Operations and Outreach. This will be his first year as Parade Director, but he's no stranger to making a loud, colorful spectacle. He can't wait to work with all of the parade entries to make this the best parade in Utah history!
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be... a Zoologist when I grew up. I did work as an animal educator and alligator wrestler for a time, so I wasn't totally wrong.
Jay Tactay
Production Director | he-him |
Jay has been part of the Utah Pride Center since October 2022. As the Youth Programs Manager, he is inspired by how the youth unapologetically embrace their identities in a world that doesn’t always recognize them. Having once been a trans youth without the courage to take up space, Jay is now committed to showing up for the community—creating a safe, visible presence as a trans adult for the kids who need it.
What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars? Welcome to the crazy show but one that’s colorful!
Esera Mose
Volunteer & Staffing Director | he-him |
Esera started as a volunteer with the Pride Parade in 2022 and 2023. The Parade is his favorite event at Pride - no competition - because it's fun, empowering, and celebratory of the Community's passionate and diversity.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be... I would want it to be the ability to heal. Imagine being able to cure cancer by holding someone's hand, or stopping a heart attack with a hug, or maybe eliminating depression with a haircut. That would be so awesome!
Patricia Kremers

This is Shelby's first year volunteering for Utah Pride after attending the festival for almost 10 years.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what type of business would you start? If I won the lottery tomorrow, me and my wife would start a bakery and coffee shop (with adoptable cat cafe of course). And, you know, I'd keep volunteering at the Utah Pride Center.
Phil Childs
Ticketing Director | he-him |
This is Phil’s second year volunteering with The Utah Pride Center and he is thrilled to be working in this new capacity this year! Volunteering with The Utah Pride Center was a major highlight of last year and he’s excited to make this year even better!
